Our impressive Byzantine and Moorish architecture features a striking rotunda building and copper dome rising more than ten stories high. For over seven decades, we've served as a spiritual home to the Jewish residents of Miami Beach, carrying forward a proud tradition of community and worship.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Communications Coordinator to join our team, working closely with our Rabbi, staff, clergy, and lay leaders to strengthen our congregation's internal and external communications. This pivotal role will serve as a bridge between our organization, members, and the broader Jewish community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain weekly mailing lists and communications to congregants
• Collaborate with committees to plan and promote synagogue events
• Create professional marketing materials and flyers for community distribution
• Coordinate event promotion with regional organizations, including the Jewish Federation
• Develop engaging content for various communication channels
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between staff, clergy, and lay leaders
• Support the organization's overall communications strategy

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Experience in event planning and promotion
• Proficiency in design software and digital marketing tools
• Knowledge of Jewish traditions and community engagement
• ShulCloud experience is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
• Self-motivated with proven multi-tasking capabilities

Desired Skills

• Marketing and graphic design experience
• Social media management
• Database management
• Experience working in religious or non-profit settings
• Bilingual capabilities (Hebrew/English) advantageous
